"I keep dreaming that the only curve I care about one day is her smile when I see her smile."
Diagnosing a chronic disease, such as diabetes, is very harsh. I remember that the day I was diagnosed with diabetes I stopped being me to become a new person, with more responsibilities, worries and even fears. What I did not know is that with 7 years the greatest weight would be carried by my parents and they would be my hands, my eyes and my decisions until they let me take charge of my life.
In these pages you will read about the first years since the debut and you will be able to put yourself in my shoes to understand what a girl with diabetes remembers to her adulthood. The process of mourning, of mistakes, of adversity, but also of joys. Lived not only from my perspective but also from that of parents, friends, teachers... Because life is a matter of attitude and I hope that these pages allow you to see that smiling is also possible after diagnosis.
