The Guardian 4 sensor is part of the Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system and is compatible with the MiniMed™ 780G system using the Guardian™™ 4 transmitter.
The sensor converts small amounts of glucose from the interstitial fluid under the skin into an electronic signal. The system then uses these signals to provide glucose values from the sensor. The sensor is designed to replace fingerstick blood glucose readings to make diabetes treatment decisions.
- Up to 7 days of use.
- Indicated for use in children and adults.
- The sensor is designed to be inserted into the back of the upper arm or abdomen in people over the age of 18 or into the upper buttocks in people ages 7 to 17.
